Portland, Maine - September Photography Workshop

Before heading up to the mid-coast of Maine, I hosted my first photography workshop based out of Portland. Two photographers joined me from Maryland and one from Maine on this exploratory trip to photograph the busy waterfronts of Casco Bay.

We had a stretch of beautiful weather and were able to explore Casco Bay by boat - from Portland north to Bailey’s Island. Without ever running a boat in southern Maine, I was able to navigate the rocky shorelines and nearshore waters with my 18' skiff that I trailered up from Maryland. We were all surprised at how much there was to photograph within a short run from downtown. The scenery was beautiful with no shortage of workboats or lighthouses.

I am looking forward to running this workshop again in September 2026 - stay tuned for details!
