SMITH ISLAND PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP - June 2nd to June 5th, 2019

This week's cold front kept the bugs down for this fun group of photographers from Maryland and Virginia. We had perfect weather for exploring Smith Island by boat while photographing the island's wildlife, working watermen and culture. 

Smith Island Photography Workshop - May 31st to June 2nd, 2019

Thanks to this intrepid group of photographers for bringing their 'A-Game' out to Smith Island for my second three day workshop of 2019! We had a great time photographing the islands wildlife, landscapes and working watermen. I am looking forward to today's trip with five photographers from Maryland, Delaware and Virginia!

Thanks to this great group of photographers from MD, DE and VA for making the trip out to Smith Island for the first three day workshop of the year. We had exceptional weather and light all weekend. Looking forward to the next trip on Friday.

Soft Shell Crabs - the Smith Island way

 just fished a piece for the forthcoming issue of Edible Delmarva on the way that Smith Islanders prepare Soft Shell Crabs. Thanks to John Tyler for the first soft shells of the season, Missy Evans for the recipe and to Duke Marshall for the use of Drum Point Market!
