I finished my month long series of photography workshops on Smith and Tangier with this group of four photographers last weekend. We had a great time photographing the islands wildlife, landscapes and seafood industry and tried to leave the beaches cleaner than we found them. I am extremely thankful for the generosity and hospitality of the islanders in helping make these workshops possible! I am already looking forward to next year's trips.
TANGIER ISLAND PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP - JUNE 10 TO JUNE 12, 2019
I had a great crew of photographers on Tangier for my first three-day workshop on the Island. A special thanks to Cameron Evans for the invaluable assistance throughout the workshop and and to all of the islanders for making us feel like part of the community. Participants were fully immersed into the island's crab fishery, had an opportunity shoot aerial photographs, and spent time learning about the islands wildlife and landscape.
I am looking forward to scheduling more trips to Tangier in 2020!

SMITH ISLAND PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP - June 2nd to June 5th, 2019
This week's cold front kept the bugs down for this fun group of photographers from Maryland and Virginia. We had perfect weather for exploring Smith Island by boat while photographing the island's wildlife, working watermen and culture.
