Thanks to this intrepid group of photographers for bringing their 'A-Game' out to Smith Island for my second three day workshop of 2019! We had a great time photographing the islands wildlife, landscapes and working watermen. I am looking forward to today's trip with five photographers from Maryland, Delaware and Virginia!

Soft Shell Crabs - the Smith Island way
just fished a piece for the forthcoming issue of Edible Delmarva on the way that Smith Islanders prepare Soft Shell Crabs. Thanks to John Tyler for the first soft shells of the season, Missy Evans for the recipe and to Duke Marshall for the use of Drum Point Market!

Navigation Exhibit - Maryland Federation of Art
The portrait of 'Sarah E' under sail at Thomas Point is on display at the Maryland Federation of Art's Navigation Exhibit in the Martino Gallery at Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts until June 22nd. The 30"x30" framed print was one of five pieces selected in the mixed media exhibit as a 'Jurors Choice' by curator Jim Cheevers.
