Join Jay Fleming out of Deal Island, Maryland to photograph the annual skipjack races in Tangier Sound. The workshop will start early in the morning on Monday September 2nd (Labor Day) out of Wenona, Maryland. Jay will lead the group to photograph crabbers working in Tangier Sound and then to the Chance, Maryland where the skipjacks will be preparing for the race. The race starts at 9am and Jay will have the boat in the thick of the action, jockeying for the best position to photograph the historic skipjack fleet. The workshop will wrap up at approximately 11am - the total duration of the trip is 5.5 hours. Space is limited on the boat to 5 participants.

Jay is a U.S. Coast Guard licensed boat captain with more than 600 documented days on the water in the last five years.

$ 500.00 is the total cost for the Skipjack Races Photography Workshop on September 2nd 2024. Payment through this link reserves space on the workshop.

A detailed itinerary will be sent out to each participant 30 days before to the workshop along with the payment link for the balance. In the event of a cancellation more than 30 days before the workshop, the deposit is refunded minus a $150.00 processing fee. If a cancellation is made less than 30 days before the workshop, the deposit is not refundable.
