Ward Museum of Waterfowl - Art in Nature Photography Festival 2016
In partnership with the Ward Waterfowl Musuem in Salisbury, Maryland, I led a group of nine photographers for a 8-hour workshop on Smith Island, Maryland. We packed as much as we could into the limited timeframe that we had available - wildlife, working watermen and a traditional dinner.
A special thanks to Missy Evans, Billy Clayton, Mary Ada Marshall and Dwight Marshall for their hospitality and generosity in helping me make this a memorable workshop for the participants.
“Jay – what a day we had on Saturday! Thank you for hosting and leading a great workshop. The pelican colony was quite a sight to behold. The topper was the amazing people we met!”
“Thanks for putting that trip together. The Pelican island was amazing, the dinner was spectacular and the people of the island wonderfully friendly, kind and hospitable”

'Working the Water' - printing and bounding almost complete
The 'Dummy Book' and the Folded/Glued proofs for 'Working the Water' came in from Italy yesterday morning. The printing process was finished late last week and the book will be bound this week.
The 280 page book is 2" thick and weighs ~4 pounds. Each spread that is opened is 24" wide - so it definitely meets the criteria for a 'coffee table book'
Cant wait to get the first advance copies!
